Ben and I were out, running around all day Saturday. We had lunch at this new Creole place in Claremont called “The Quarter Creole Cuisine”. This was actually our second time going there – the first time we came here for desserts, and we discovered the best cheesecake either of us had ever tried! I am not a huge fan of cheesecake (it’s a basic dessert that every restaurant has, so it doesn’t really excite me), but this thing is seriously the bomb! It’s made with their Creole cream cheese which is lighter and creamier than regular cream cheese. This dessert is velvety, creamy and just so good!
Their food is also really good! We got shrimp and grits (BOMB!), brussel sprouts (to die for), crawfish etouffee, and their catfish specialty (I was not crazy about the catfish though TBH, just not my cup of tea, but still really tasty). I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are ever in the area! It’s new, the vibe is great, and the food is awesome.
Ben and I are crazy foodies and love to try new places so I will definitely be sharing more about restaurants we visit and love! I’d also love to hear any suggestions you guys have; We’re always looking to try something new!
OUTFIT DETAILS
YOGA PANTS: Lululemon [mine is an older style but they have a almost exact pair that you can find HERE] | SWEATSHIRT: old and can’t find it anymore – I actually got this from Uniqlo a while ago. They have comfy cotton sweatshirts and pants that are super affordable! | KICKS: Nike -old [similar style HERE, and its only $65!] | CAP: ’47 [this is the navy blue color] | BAG: Louis Vuitton Neverfull [MM size]
Since we were running around all day, I wanted something comfortable and easy. I felty sporty-stylish in this outfit. These are my all time favorite yoga pants from Lululemon. They are the most flattering and durable leggings I have ever owned! They hold their shape well – so they’ll last forever, and they are really thick (aka no see-through issues LOL). I think investing in a pair of really good-quality yoga pants is crucial for those day-to-day looks were you want to want to throw something on to be able to run around, yet still look good – Athleisure or athletic- chic, if you will! Of course, these are great for working out, but let’s be real – going to the gym is not usually the reason we put on a pair of yoga pants. It’s because, they are comfortable! Investing in a good yoga pant is a great way to blend that comfort in with style! Throw it together with comfortable and cute athletic shoes, a hoodie/ sweatshirt or loose top, and a cap and you’re good to go!
XOXO,
Monica
