A Peak at Our Home for Halloween

Happy Halloween, y’all! This is a superrr late post, but I wanted to share some of the decor and ideas I have around the house for Halloween. With the house still undergoing renovations, it was hard for me to really start decorating BUT, being that Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays though, I insisted on going all out wherever I could LOL. It’s all essentially my fall decor with some Halloween tweaks here and there. Starting tomorrow, I will take down the Halloween accents and build on things more in preparation for Thanksgiving!

PS: All of my decor is either Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Homegoods or Anthropologie!

Ok, so Last Sunday, after the pumpkin patch, Ben and I had a small pumpkin carving party with Ben’s co-residents and their significant others, and we had such a great time! For appetizers, I wanted to do something a little special, so I came up with a “char-spookery board” (yes, I am officially calling it that). I took elements of a basic charcuterie board and added “spooky” details like black berries, blue berries, black grapes, orange tomatoes, carrots, and yellow cheddar to fit with the black and orange theme of Halloween. I also added some pumpkins in the mix as well, which would be perfect for a thanksgiving charcuterie too! All these sat on some fresh eucalyptus sprigs to give a pop of green from beneath the food. The skeleton hand was a fun little touch that made it spooky, but still kept it classy (I am going for classy/chic Halloween after all)!

For dessert I made pumpkin pie from scratch- crust and all! This was my first time doing it, and I was pleasantly surprised! For drinks I made a spiked apple cider which was to. die. for! Honestly, I am so glad Halloween and Thanksgiving have some overlap, so I can have more time to perfect and share these things soon!

Anywho, so excited for tonight! I am getting a little dressed up, popping open a bottle of my fav Stella Rosa wine, watching Hocus Pocus, and passing out candy to tricker treaters. Just my kind of night. Hope everyone has fun plans and a great Halloween!

XOXO,

Monica
