My bed is my greatest hello and my hardest goodbye. I have an amazing ability to stay in bed ALLLL day if I could LOL, so it was so important for me build a home with the fluffiest, coziest bed possible. I love keeping it neutral and bright with white sheets, duvets, and pillows and then adding some pops of color with decor pillows and flowers. It gives the room and clean, crisp, classy feel, and allows you to switch things up any time just by making some minor changes. Is as easy as switching out the flowers and changing some pillow cases, and you instantly have a different room!

One trick I found that really helped enhance the look of the pillows on the bed is to lay 2 standard shams flat in the very back and rest your Euro sized pillows onto those. I have found that it looks way better to do this than to rest the Euros directly on the headboard. Another thing I love doing is adding different textures and layers to the bed. It makes each element you add pop and enhances the overall look.

We have the Tencel™Ruffle Duvet Cover from Pottery Barn, and it is the softest! It seriously feel like silk on your skin with the breathability of cotton, and the ruffles give a very soft and delicate look to the room. Our duvet and pillow inserts are all also from Pottery Barn which are a bit more pricey but so worth it if you ask me. I recommend going with good quality inserts because they hold their shape, and they don’t clump like some others I have tried. They also give you that “dive-right-in” fluffiness that makes everything look straight out of a magazine.

I hope this post inspires you to give your bedroom some love! Trust me, it’s completely life changing.

XOXO,

Monica
