Sooo we splurged and bought the 3-day Cali resident pass at Disneyland! I love love love Disney! I remember I had an annual pass a few years back, and I would literally just go to pig out LOL. My favorite part though is dressing for Disney; It’s just so fun for me to get into the spirit of things! When deciding what to wear, the thing it always comes down to is comfort. It’s a loooong day with a lot of walking and hours of waiting in lines, but I still always want to look cute and still be comfy! I think “athletic-chic” is perfect for Disney, BUT I tend to lean more towards casual-chic because I want to feel a bit more dressed up. Whenever I go it’s usually hot in the day but freezing at night so jeans are usually my go-to. This is where a comfy pair of jeans is crucial for getting around with ease! I’ve talked about it before, but Joe’s Jeans are my fav because they are all made with a super stretchy and comfortable denim fabric (I seriously feel like I can do the splits in them – not like I know how to anyway LOL). I have seen some people in wedges or heels at Disney, I just can’t do that! Flats are always my pick as long as they are comfortable. I usually wear athletic sneakers (you can never go wrong with something like THESE), converse all-stars, or in this case, I chose some really cute cheetah slip-on sneakers.
Side-note: Animal print shoes are SUPER trendy right now! I rounded up a bunch of my cheetah/leopard (who really knows the difference? LOL) favs from Nordstrom! Just click on the number to go straight to the link on where to find them.
When it comes to handbags in amusement parks in general, I love backpacks because they are just more comfortable to carry around all day long. They allow you to bring more stuff but not feel like you are lugging bricks around. With cross-bodies my shoulders will be killing me by the end, so that’s my biggest piece of advice. They are also so darn cute!
Since my goal is “casual-chic”, I tend to wear all black pieces. A simple black tee with some black jeans and cute yet functional shoes is really all you need! But if you ask me, it’s never complete without the ultimate accessory…
I may or may not have a HUGEEEE collection of Minnie ears that I have acquired over the years… These come in soooo many adorable designs! I bought this rose gold one on Saturday, but there were two others that I was having such a hard time choosing between! Also, you don’t even have to get them from Disney. I have seen some seriously gorgeous and creative designs sold on Etsy or Amazon that are to die for (and probably a bit less expensive then at Disney). Another reason why all black is perfect is because it will go with any ear/hat and will really make them stand out!
XOXO,
Monica
